Meetup at Starbucks in San Jose. Full tank and KSU at 9:30 am. We will ride up to the summit of Mt Hamilton and grab a bite to eat at the Junction before heading back.

Meetup at Bean Crema Coffee & Tea in Greenbrae. Full tank and KSU at 9:30 am. We will ride up to the Point Reyes Lighthouse and grab a bite to eat at Point Rayes Station before heading back.

Get up-close to camels, ostriches, zebras, emus, and more as professional and amateur jockeys gallop, swerve, and falter their way to the finish line. This is more than a wacky spectator sport. The crowds compete against each other to win prizes from Virginia City merchants. The family-favorite event takes place at the Virginia City Fairgrounds and Arena and features food trucks serving up carnival-style treats, craft and artist vendors, a wide variety of beverages at the bar, official Camel Races merch, and camel rides for that must-have photo-op. There are four shows over three days, each full of quirky races, entertainment, surprises, and fan contests. Who knows? You may even find yourself in the arena! Attention: Please make your reservations early, spots are filling up fast. I‘ll be staying at the Silverland Inn & Suites (and have a room to share, hit me up. Scott W). We will have a group riding from the Bay Area, details later.
